Philadelphia is one great big canvas for the city’s mural artists. African American icons and heroes are larger-than-life — literally — in murals throughout the city.
Thanks to the City of Philadelphia's extremely successful Mural Arts Program, more than 2,000 murals have been painted so far on walls around the city.
