Carpenters’ Hall
320 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19106
Was it treason? Patriotism? And what would you do if you were taxed but you had no voice in your government? The decision might not be as easy as you think.
Before the Constitution, before the Declaration of Independence, there was the First Continental Congress.
In 1774, delegates from 12 colonies (Georgia abstained), gathered at Carpenters’ Hall to vote on whether to undertake a trade embargo against England.
