FIVE PHILLY-AREA RESIDENTS HONORED FOR THEIR PATRIOTIC SENTIMENTS
Winners Will Record Their Essays In Time For Independence Day

WHAT:

The top five winners of the What The Liberty Bell Means To Me essay contest will share their winning essays at a recording session and reception at WHYY on Monday, June 7, 2004. 

A panel of judges representing the Independence National Historical Park, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Pennsylvania Tourism Office, the Independence Visitor Center Corporation, WHYY and the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) selected the winners from 350 submissions to the contest, created by WHYY, GPTMC and Governor Rendell to mark the Liberty Bell’s move to its new home at the Liberty Bell Center last October 9.
