The Doylestown, Pennsylvania, building that originally served as the Bucks County jail now houses an art museum honoring Pulitzer Prize-winning writer James A. Michener. The collection – a gift from Michener to his native Bucks County – mainly includes works of 19th- and 20th-century American art, many by Bucks County painters and sculptors.
