Dahlak Restaurant and Bar Details
If you want to know what “finger lickin’ good” is really about, try this fabulous Ethiopian restaurant. Dahlak first earned Zagat’s stamp of approval in 1997 and has been consistently recognized as one of University City's best ethnic restaurants ever since.
Be prepared for traditional Ethiopian and Eritrean dining at Dahlak — injera, a flat spongy bread, is a key component of (and utensil for) most dishes and there is a lot of eating from the same plate. Entrees include a wide range of seafood dishes, while beef, chicken and lamb are eaten in the customary way: with your fingers.
And if you're a bit wary of the spices, fear not: you can specify most orders as either mild or spicy.
