Grasshopper Details Grasshopper mixes it up, plain and simple. With mod dresses hanging beside prairie girl jackets and plaid fedora hats, this Best of Philly-winning boutique gives men and women the tools to create fun, unusual ensembles.

Beside garments from such designers as Klavis and Stacia, the in-the-know fashionistas at Grasshopper have placed accessories from independent, mostly local designers – like paisley carpet bags, horse-print scarves and hats, hats and more hats. Offered at a variety of prices, the finds here draw second glances for their originality.

The boutique's interior is a mixture of high luxe, cozy backwoods and 1970s-style family den. A forest mural and a working fireplace lend rustic charm to your shopping experience. Meanwhile, the dressing room lounge is a comfortable place to change, check your e-mail or read a magazine.

And with a pathway connecting the dressing room lounge to American Mortals, the salon next door, Grasshopper can double as a one-stop makeover.
