Anjou Details
Anjou, a modern Japanese restaurant located in the middle of the bustling neighborhood of Old City in Center City Philadelphia, is a great place to visit for a casual meal with a group of family or friends, as well as great spot to go for a more intimate dining experience.
Situated on Market Street, Anjou is only three blocks from Independence Mall, making it a great place to visit after your trip to Philadelphia’s Historic District. Take a leisurely stroll from the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and/or the National Constitution Center through centuries of history and arrive at Anjou, a great example of the dining renaissance that helped usher Philadelphia into the 21st Century.
The menu boasts traditional Japanese fare updated with French accents. There is, of course, delicious sushi, but also a whole lot more. Enjoy dishes like wasabi-encrusted filet mignon, pan seared Norwegian salmon, and fresh spinach pasta topped with roasted diver scallops.
The downstairs lounge is more intimate. There is a waterfall and a wrought-iron trellis laced with candles. After 10 p.m., DJs turn Anjou into a popular Old City nightspot. So if you’re into a little luxe nightlife, be sure to add Anjou to your list.
