About PECO, An Exelon Company

PHILADELPHIA, 2006

PECO--an electric and natural gas utility subsidiary of Exelon Corporation--serves 1.6 million electric and 470,000 natural gas customers in southeastern Pennsylvania. One of the Greater Philadelphia Region's most active corporate citizens, PECO provides leadership, volunteer and financial support to numerous educational, environmental, arts and culture, and community and neighborhood development organizations and initiatives. A long-time supporter of The Franklin Institute, PECO is pleased--on behalf of its customers and employees--to help bring the Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibit to Philadelphia.

About PECO’s Leadership:

Denis O’Brien is President of PECO, An Exelon Company.  He is responsible for leadership over PECO’s operations and overall performance associated with service reliability, customer satisfaction, and regulatory and external affairs. PECO employs 2,700 people and generates approximately $5 billion in annual revenues.

Denis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University and earned an MBA in Finance from Drexel University.  He has participated on numerous civic and industry boards, including the Energy Association of Pennsylvania, the American Gas Association, the Pennsylvania Economy League, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and The Franklin Institute Science Museum.  He and his wife Carolyn reside in Havertown with their three children.
