PHILADELPHIA’S uwishunu.com WINS BRONZE ANVIL FROM PUBLIC RELATIONS SOCIETY OF AMERICA
Blog Is One Of 54 Winners Out Of More Than 900 Entries

PHILADELPHIA, June 20, 2007 - uwishunu.com, Philly’s new insider blog created by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) and funded by the City of Philadelphia, received a Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Bronze Anvil award in the blog category. The award recognizes the blog itself and the launch events that drove traffic to the site prior to the advertising kick-off. The blog is one component of a two-year tourism initiative, uwishunu™ (as in “you wish you knew”), to promote the unconventional side of the city primarily through the power of new media and Web 2.0.

This year, PRSA judges evaluated 927 entries and chose 54 Bronze Anvil winners. Bronze Anvil awards are distributed annually in 39 categories and subcategories to recognize outstanding public relations tactics, the individual items or components of programs or campaigns. Other winners include Xbox 360, Amazon.com and Disneyland, to name a few. PRSA is the world’s largest professional organization for those in the public relations industry.

uwishunu™, created by the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) and funded by the City of Philadelphia, reveals the unconventional side of Philadelphia by providing an insider’s look at the city’s dining, drinking, nightlife, active pursuits and culture as shared by Philly-wise locals. If you wish you knew how to visit Philly like a local, go to uwishunu.com.
