PHILADELPHIA, February 24, 2006 – Philadelphia’s immensely popular Philly Overnight® Hotel Package is back by popular demand and includes the same great elements that made it such a hit in year’s past: two-night accommodations, free hotel parking and a gift upon check-in. First introduced in 2001 as a weekend-only hotel package, Philly Overnight® is now available any night of the week, based upon availability, through April 17, 2006. Packages are bookable exclusively online at gophila.com.

“Consumers and hotels alike asked us to bring back the Philly Overnight® Hotel Package,” said Meryl Levitz, president and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC). “Visitors like the attractive amenities the package offers, and hotels like the opportunity to offer customers additional incentives during slower times of the year.”

The Philly Overnight® Hotel Package includes two-night accommodations at more than 40 hotels throughout the region, free hotel parking both nights and the Little Book of BENefits, full of coupons good for discounts at area attractions, shops and restaurants. Package rates start at around $159 for both nights.

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) builds the region’s economy and image through destination marketing to increase the number of visitors, the number of nights they stay and the number of things they do in the five-county region. For more information about travel to Philadelphia, visit www.gophila.com or call the Independence Visitor Center, located in Independence National Historical Park, at (800) 537-7676.
