PHILLY’S DALI, FRANKLIN & FOURTH OF JULY PROMOTIONS WIN BIG AT TOURISM INDUSTRY AWARDS
Annual Competition Drew More Than 1,200 Entries From 35 Countries

Salvador DaliPHILADELPHIA, February 8, 2006 – The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) left its mark on the 16th annual Adrian Awards Gala, garnering six awards at a ceremony held in New York City on January 30, 2006. The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) honored GPTMC with the awards, which included a Gold Adrian for its public relations campaign to promote the Salvador Dalí exhibition at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in 2005.

In addition to the Gold Adrian, GPTMC received two Silver Adrian Awards and three Bronze Adrian Awards. Here’s a look at all of GPTMC’s honors:

  • Gold Adrian Award: Best public relations campaign, Salvador Dalí
  • Silver Adrian Award: Best public relations press kit, Ben Franklin 300 Philadelphia
  • Silver Adrian Award: Best public relations feature, Cooking Light
  • Bronze Adrian Award: Best advertising series for television spots entitled, “These and These”
  • Bronze Adrian Award: Best advertising campaign, Salvador Dalí
  • Bronze Adrian Award: Best public relations special event: Fourth of July

HSMAI is an organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry. Founded in 1927, HSMAI is an individual membership organization comprised of nearly 7,000 members worldwide, with 36 chapters in the Americas region.
