PHILADELPHIA, March 20, 2006 – The Greater
Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation’s (GPTMC) online
pressroom now features six RSS (really simple syndication) feeds,
enabling members of the media to “subscribe” to updates on topics
that are specifically of interest to them. In this e-information
age when journalists’ e-mail boxes are overflowing with press
releases, GPTMC’s customizable RSS feeds give the media the power
to choose what Philadelphia travel news they receive (spam-free) as
soon as it is available on www.gophila.com/pressroom.
GPTMC’s online pressroom includes six RSS feeds for the
following topics: What’s New, Dining, Events, Seasonal Travel,
Hotel Packages and Tourism Research. GPTMC will add more RSS feeds
for press and consumers in the future.
Members of the media interested in subscribing to GPTMC’s feeds
can sign up at www.gophila.com/pressroom.
The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC)
builds the region’s economy and image through destination marketing
to increase the number of visitors, the number of nights they stay
and the number of things they do in the five-county region. For
more information about travel to Philadelphia, visit
www.gophila.com or call the Independence Visitor Center, located in
Independence National Historical Park, at (800) 537-7676.
