Visitors to Philadelphia Can Walk in Jennifer Weiner's Shoes
New Itinerary On Gophila.com Coincides With Release Of Film Based On Philly Author's Book

Weiner Release

PHILADELPHIA, September 7, 2005 -
Fans of best-selling novelist Jennifer Weiner have plenty to be excited about this fall as the Philadelphia-based author prepares for a busy season that includes the release of her first film (In Her Shoes), a brand new book (Goodnight Nobody) and the premiere of her weekend itinerary on www.gophila.com. The two-day, two-night visit is the newest addition to the Itineraries and Tours section of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation's (GPTMC) Web site, www.gophila.com. Weiner joins other celebrity participants, including Donovan McNabb, Bill Cosby, Kevin Bacon and Oprah Winfrey.

Taking visitors from Old City to Rittenhouse Square, "Jennifer Weiner's Weekend of Indulgences" highlights the novelist's favorite spots for splurging. For this on-the-go mom and author, that means satisfying the body, mind and spirit. In the true spirit of indulgence, Weiner suggests shopping at The Papery, pampering at The Body Klinic, dining at Alma de Cuba and unwinding during a performance at the Academy of Music.

The full tour is now available at www.gophila.com/itineraries.

The Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC) builds the region's economy and image through destination marketing to increase the number of visitors, the number of nights they stay and the number of things they do in the five-county region. For more information about travel to Philadelphia, visit www.gophila.com or call the Independence Visitor Center, located in Independence National Historical Park, at (800) 537-7676.
