Insider Tip
Food is excellent, but don’t come here starved—portions are probably smaller than you are used to.
It’s all about the atmosphere at this upscale Moroccan restaurant in Old City. Another one of Stephen Starr’s wonderful creations, Tangerine puts the trend in trendy with its ultramodern décor.
If there's just one or two of you, take a seat at the front bar, where you'll be moved by its subtle changes in color. The lounge and bar area is a great place to stop by for a low key bite or a few drinks before heading to some of the other neighborhood hotspots.
Funky drink creations, like the Strawberry Blonde, which adds a splash of champagne and a candied raspberry for zing, make ordering an adventure all in itself.
If you want to check out Tangerine for dinner, it's best to come with a group — many of the dishes are meant to be shared. Menu highlights include: chickpea crepes, Greek-spiced swordfish and pistacio crusted duck breast.
