Outsider Tip
An active 4-H club (a generally agricultural-focused youth organization) operates at the farm in the areas of pigs, sheep and cows.
Get Involved
Friends of Fox Chase Farm, which numbers more than 400 member families, helps support the farm with physical maintenance, fund raising, guided tours and other public events.
Hereford and Angus cattle, sheep, chickens, pigs, goats and horses all make themselves right at home on this 112-acre working farm, which offers various tours and family events throughout the year.
Visitors can participate in sheep shearing, hayrides, plant sales and an Apple Festival. If you want to learn more, you can sign up for programs in wood working, vegetable printing, ice cream churning, dried flower pressing and maple sugaring.
Fox Chase Farm is run by a partnership between Fairmount Park and the School District of Philadelphia.
COME PREPARED
Because this is a working farm, it is only open to the public for scheduled events and programs. But events are frequent so check the website for the schedule.
DON'T MISS
Tuesday Nites On The Farm, held every Tuesday night from mid-July through mid-August, which features hayrides, farm activities and outdoor movie screenings.
