The Independent is a new, 24-room boutique hotel in the city's Midtown Village neighborhood. A stay here places you in the heart of Center City, within walking distance of Rittenhouse Square, the Avenue of the Arts and the city's Historic District.
Philadelphia's historic spirit is reflected in The Independent's charming, unique touches — such as the lobby's centerpiece, a 30-foot-tall mural of Independence Hall created by local artist Kim Senior.
The hotel is located in a fully restored Georgian-Revival building and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Guest Rooms
The Independent's guest rooms are just as unique as the hotel itself. Some rooms have fireplaces, while others feature exposed brick walls, cathedral ceilings, French windows or lofts.
All guest rooms offer wireless internet, 32" flat panel televisions and hardwood floors, making you feel right at home during your stay in Philadelphia.
Guests also enjoy a complimentary European breakfast in the hotel's fireside lounge.
The Neighborhood
The Independent is located at the heart of Midtown Village, a vibrant neighborhood offering boutique shopping, several BYOB restaurants and sophisticated nightlife spots.
