The second Annual Black Lily Film and Music Festival is an all-embracing celebration of exceptional female talent from the film and music industries from May 1-4, 2008.
The three-day festival features screenings by women directors from around the world, along with two concerts and an honors ceremony featuring both established and emerging women artists. A few of this year's attendees and performers include Bahamadia, Jaguar Wright, Ladybug Mecca, J*Davey, Zaki Ibrahim and more.
The festival includes a number of panel discussions and workshops, featuring many of the top women in their respective industries and includes former music executives, radio producers, filmmakers, sound engineers and more.
Programming also includes special workshops for girls ages 12-18 years old, focusing on DJing, music producing, digital editing and costume design.
