Freedom Foundation at Valley Forge
A 52-acre wooded trail and living tribute to the nation’s medal of honor recipients
Outsider Tip
Famous American artist Peter Max designed the first stone on the trail, America’s Walk of Honor.
Take a patriotic walk through the wooded trails of the Medal of Honor Grove, a 52-acre campus where one acre of land is dedicated to each of the 50 states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia, in honor of their recipients of the Nation’s highest award for valor.
Each state is honored with an obelisk patterned after the Washington Monument, which lists all its Medal of Honor recipients. The manicured grounds are also inviting for visitors who may want to bring a picnic
DON'T MISS
"Support the Troops" on WPHT 1210 AM radio, a broadcast of the Family Concerts in the Grove's amphitheatre on summer weekends; as well as special events every Flag Day, Constitution Day and July 4th.
