Insider Tip
The three annual “Best of the Season” shows are must-sees. The kids are relaxed, sharp, and ready to rock.
The Experience
This is not your father’s music school. The Paul Green School of Rock takes kids who might or might not know how to play music and turns them into performers who play concerts all around the globe. The students learn w-a-y more than just notes and scales.
Through regular jam sessions and coaching, they learn vocal skills, how to play with other musicians, performance skills, and everything else it takes to go crazy on stage. School of Rock concerts are among the hottest tickets in town, not just because they’re so good, but because that just might be the next Mick or Bruce up there on stage. Go find that lighter you use for concert encores. You’ll need it.
History
Paul Green has a very understanding wife. When his guitar students needed somewhere to practice, he turned his living room into a rehearsal studio. This imperfect arrangement worked until the jam sessions outgrew the confines of his home. In 2000, he moved his teaching and practice facilities into a real studio and opened School of Rock branches throughout the region, New York and San Francisco.
