Weekend Events
Check out the great things to do and see all weekend long leading up to the day of the Inauguration, including the groundbreaking America I Am exhibit at the National Constitution Center, where President Obama made his historic speech on race.
Fittingly, America I Am — a large-scale exhibit celebrating 400+ years of African American history — opens on Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday (Janurary 15).
Obama will be stopping in Philadelphia on Saturday, January 17 prior to boarding a train to Washington, D.C.
Want to pick up a souvenir? Stop by the Independence Visitor Center on January 20 to pick up a Presidential Pass — it will provide you with a 10% discount at several Historic Philadelphia retail shops.
