For centuries, the original portrait of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Poland, has provided inspiration and hope to the Polish nation. Americans also found inspiration in the image and in 1966, in honor of Poland’s Millennium, the American Shrine of Our Lacy of Czestochowa was completed.
The modern-style shrine features a series of stained glass windows depicting the history of Christianity in Poland and the U.S. The 170-acre facility includes the shrine’s original barn, bell tower, cemetery, visitor center and retreat house.
