The Run with Olympians event was sponsored by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
It’s not every day that running enthusiasts get to practice their sport with an Olympian by their side, but they did exactly that during the 2007 Philadelphia Marathon weekend.
The Run with Olympians event gave runners of all ages and ability levels the chance to train alongside Olympic veterans Tim Broe, Carrie Tollefson and Todd Williams. The runners were able to choose from different paces set by each Olympian and tailor the four-mile run to best suit their personal training schedules.
The training route began at the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and continued along Martin Luther King Drive.
