White Clay Creek Preserve and State Park
Preserve and State Park spanning two states and more than 5,000 acres
Outsider Tip
The Arc Corner Monument demarcates the Pennsylvania/Delaware boundary and the Park’s Possum Hill section replaces a lost wooden post from the Mason/Dixon Line.
Once the White Clay Creek watershed became part of the Wild and Scenic Rivers System, the park was assured that it would survive for generations. It's a good thing too since there is so much to do here.
Anglers head to White Clay’s stream, which is stocked with trout several times each season, to catch that evening’s dinner. Hikers and mountain bikers can challenge almost 40 miles of trails that begin in Pennsylvania and wind into Delaware.
Families looking for some together time can pack a picnic, play disc golf or join in the family and kid-oriented nature programs.
COME PREPARED
There is a weekend vehicle entry fee May, September and October and daily fees on Memorial Day - Labor Day (Delaware only).
DON'T MISS
Historic Haunting, October. Costumed re-enactors perform at the London Tract Meeting House burial ground in the Preserve.
