A wide range of diverse and uncluttered natural landscapes.
 
Maybe it was the forgiving climate. It could have been the region’s industrial wealth, or even its deep Quaker ethic. But for whatever reason, Philadelphia and its Countryside became the Garden Capital of the nation, and is now home to some of the most historic gardens in the United States.

That tradition continues today, as local farms and gardens continue to lead the way in producing home-grown food and nurturing native plants, while maintaining habitat for birds and other wildlife.
