Outsider Tip
Cycling here is mostly flat, so it's great for beginners.
The smooth water of Lake Luxembourg is in the heart of Core Creek Park in lower Bucks County.
The 1,200-acre park has something for everyone.
If you’re looking for a day on the water, you can rent canoes, kayaks and rowboats for fishing or for fun. Windsurfing and sailboats are also welcome, but only electric motors are allowed.
Hiking trails wind through surrounding woodlands, some of which accommodate bicycles and horses. Look for a variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, waterfowl, wading birds, song birds and migrating birds. Picnicking is very popular during the warmer months. And there’s a great orienteering course in addition to playing fields.
COME PREPARED
The park's open during daylight hours. Check the website for boat rental fees.
