Philadelphia really gets into the holidays. And this year, the city will be especially merry with the first-ever Christmas Village in Philadelphia!
Setting up shop at Dilworth Plaza on the west side of City Hall, the Village will get you in the holiday spirit with delicious food, gifts, live music and more!
When to Visit the Village
The Christmas Village opens to the public on Thursday, November 26 and runs until December 24 (Christmas Eve).
Operating hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m., except for Christmas Eve, when the Village will close at 5 p.m. so that vendors can get home to celebrate with their families.
Food, Gifts and More!
More than 50 vendors, in a series of charmingly constructed wooden structures, will create a medieval village in Dilworth Plaza.
Throughout the holiday season, the vendors will be selling European-style food, sweets and drinks, international holiday gifts, ornaments and high-quality arts and crafts.
Christmas Tree Lighting
Mayor Michael Nutter will lead Philadelphia in lighting the City Hall Christmas Tree at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2.
The event will kick-off the holiday season in Philadelphia — don't miss it!
Santa’s House
As a special treat for the younger set, Santa's House will offer children of all ages a chance to sit on Santa’s lap and give him their wish list. Photographers will be on hand to capture the moment — and on Monday nights, you can even get your pet's photo taken with Santa!
Children will also be able to drop their letters to Santa in the Special Delivery mailbox at Santa’s House, so stop by and make a wish!
