Handel's Messiah
On December 16, 2007, prepare to be truly delighted when Conductor Christopher Warren-Green leads the Philadelphia Singers Chorale and four leading Baroque soloists in Handel's Messiah — giving the performance the vibrant energy of the Baroque period while continuing a beloved Orchestra tradition, now in its 46th year.
The Glorious Sounds of Christmas
This season's series of holiday concerts celebrates the magic and excitement of the Orchestra's most popular holiday album, The Glorious Sound of Christmas, with performances that feature the Philadelphia Singers Chorale. The performance runs from December 20 through 22, 2007.
New Year's Eve Concert
Ring in the New Year amidst the grandeur of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, where The Philadelphia Orchestra will delight its audience with a special performance of classic compositions from Vienna, the unofficial music capital of the world.
Featuring the waltzes and polkas of Johann Strauss Jr., the beauty of Die Fledermaus and Richard Strauss's exquisite suite from Der Rosenkavalier, the concert celebrates the New Year with Viennese flair.
