The Chestnut Hill Community Association's 2007 Holiday House Tour will open four wonderful Chestnut Hill houses for the day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., The house are all located within walking distance of each other, making for a delightful December outing.
The picturesque homes will have been decorated for the season by some very talented designers.
The homes include:
- A handsome brick colonial revival mansion. - A 1920s French/Norman stone cottage designed by architect Samuel Marshall. - A beautifully proportioned English country Cotswold manor house, complete with carved stonework, towering brick chimneys and a gabled slated roof. - A Georgian revival mansion set among, acres of terraced gardens, meadows and woodland, part of one of Philadelphia’s grandest most historically important estates.
Tickets, programs and tour maps are available at Christ Ascension Church, 8300 Germantown Avenue, on the day of tour.
