Fall has arrived at Peddler's Village, the charming, family-friendly town in beautiful Bucks County.
In addition to more than 70 boutiques and 10 restaurants — including a colonial-era tavern and a mystery dinner theater — Peddler's Village celebrates the harvest season with great Fall events for the whole family!
31th Annual Scarecrow Competition and Display
September 7 – October 25, 2009
As is tradition at Peddler's Village, the harvest season sees larger-than-life scarecrow creations displayed outdoors throughout the Village. But these are no ordinary scarecrows!
These exceptional pieces of American folk art fall into the following categories: The Keystone Krow, Whirligig, Extraordinary Contemporary, Kids Only!, Quite The Character and Group Crow. Visit Peddler's Village for official rules and scarecrow descriptions.
You can check out last year's winners here — or better yet, stop by Peddler's Village this Fall and contribute your own scarecrow creation!
34th Annual Apple Festival
November 7 and 8, 2009
This is exactly what it sounds like — Peddler's Village's celebration of all things apple!
You can taste scrumptious apple treats like country apple butter, apple cider, apple dumplings, apple fritters and, of course, candied apples! Or you can take home a bushel of apples fresh from the orchard.
But it isn't all apples. Local craftspeople will sell their goods and give live demonstrations, and you can always shop in the Village's boutiques. And if you're feeling really hungry, take a seat at an apple pie-eating contest. Yummy!
Visit Peddler's Village for more info about the Scarecrow Competition, the Apple Festival and other great events at the Village!
