Outsider Tip
Certified triathlons have rather strict rules so the pre-meeting race is strongly recommended for first-time competitors.
This USATF-certified race is designed by women for women and emphasizes health, wellness, camaraderie and competition.
Spectators are encouraged to bring their blankets, lawn chairs and picnics as they cheer on their favorite competitor.
The course follows the eight-mile loop that starts at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and continues up Kelly Drive, over the Falls River Bridge and down the western side of the river on Martin Luther King Drive (formerly West River Drive).
COME PREPARED
There is a fee to register, which you should consider doing ahead of time as last year's event sold out early. The race runs rain or shine.
DON'T MISS
The post-race party features food, music, complimentary massages as well as a celebratory awards ceremony.
