A recent move to the Avenue of the Arts from Old City has not affected Highwire's relaxed attitude. The artist members’ works may be tacked or taped to the walls, or even painted right onto them, and members often collaborate. Highwire openings have been known to include live performance — music, dance or poetry — and the gallery often hosts readings and performances.
